She just couldn't help herself

So Aunt Anda came to visit for the week and we are soooo excited!!! The kiddies love some Aunt Anda time! She got here Saturday and after everything had settled down after lunch, we all laid down for a lazy Saturday nap. Several hours later when Michael and I wake, imagine our surprise to find that neither of the kids have woken up either!! Michael goes to investigate further and finds Lily Kate in the middle of her bed with a huge mess. She had found Aunt Anda's makeup bag and just couldn't help herself. Check this out....

But of course it didn't stop there. What is the purpose of delving into such goodies if you cannot apply them somewhere?

I suppose the only good thing that came out of this is the dirtying of the Tennessee blanket (Go Dawgs!). That's my girl. (just kidding Nanna and Pawpaw..it came clean!)

Feelin' Squirrely

Mac made the cutest little birdfeeder at school last spring. We hung it on the tree in our front yard not long after..I was so proud! So, imagine my surprise and disappointment when I looked out the window the other day to see a squirrel demolishing it in his attempt to get the food off of it. That is the 2nd feeder they have broken of ours. Mac's reply? "Oh well, I will make another one at school." Boys soldier on!

Our first encounter!!!

Saturday night was our first encounter with baby Olivia...the newest addition to the Jeffcoat family. She is a miracle, and not just because she is from God, but because she is the fourth and final child for Sugar and CJ. She has three big brothers!!! Praise the Lord for some pink!!! She is perfect in every way and I am so happy for them!!! Oh yes, and we had a great time visiting with Sugar too!!!

Weekly Roundup...Tour de South Georgia

Well, it's the weekly round up of pictures and updates. We went to Waycross, Valdosta and everywhere in between last week. Papa (my Daddy) retired after almost 39 years with Georgia Power. What a moving ceremony! I have always been proud of my father, but on this day I was able to see him through his coworkers eyes. I was even more proud of him than ever before. My Dad is a hard worker, this I knew. However he was such a good friend to so many. Needless to say there were lots of tears shed. I love you Daddy and am SOOOOO proud of you!! After a brief adjustment period I am sure he will settle right in to retirement! We had such a good time visiting with aunts, uncles and cousins whom we don't get to see very often!

We also were able to have a good visit with Paul and Nancy whom we love to pieces! Paul has a tractor; translation: Mac is in love. Even though the visit was during naptime and they got to see the kids at their finest (enter sarcasm here), we all had a great time!! We can't wait to see you again!!

So, we're back at home in our beds and catching up on rest. Unfortunately Daddy couldn't go, so Mommy is whipped! Now we will try and have our last little bit of summer fun and get ready for school to start!
